I think I’ve mentioned Restaurant.com before, but it’s been a while. If you’ve never visited the site, it’s a great way to find new restaurants. Sometimes I just don’t feel like fixing dinner, and Restaurant.com gift certificates really make it easy to not feel guilty about going out.
How does it work? It’s simple. Visit Restaurant.com by clicking the button below (in the interest of full disclosure, I’m an affiliate) and enter your zip code into the search box. Don’t think you’re limited to only a handful of options. Just within 15 miles of my zip code, there are 179 participating restaurants! Everything from small Mom & Pop places, to national chains like Ted’s Montana Grill, zpizza, Shula’s, and Red Hot & Blue.
If your search results are overwhelming, you can filter your list by cuisine type, atmosphere (i.e., family-friendly), or look at it in alphabetical order, among other options.
Choose the restaurant that suits you best.
Make sure to read the small print, as some have certain conditions… “only valid Sunday-Thursday,” for example. Then you add the gift certificate to your cart, enter your discount code, and proceed with the purchase. You’ll be able to print the certificate immediately, but will also be emailed a copy in case you’d prefer to print it at a later time.
Usually the $25 gift certificates sell for $10, which is still a good deal, but at $2 each, they’re a steal! Gift certificates are valid for up to a year after purchase, so I take advantage of the 80% off promotions to stock up.
Use code: SPECIAL at checkout to see the 80% savings.
Now thru 5/31/09 only at Restaurant.com.
