Starting this month, you can receive a free movie ticket when you purchase two specially marked packages of Big G cereals including Honey Nut Cheerios® (17 oz.), Cinnamon Toast Crunch® (17 oz.), Lucky Charms® (16 oz.), Trix® (14.8 oz) and Reese’s Puffs® cereal (18 oz.). It’s nice to be rewarded for something we already buy! Our favorites? Definitely Cheerios and Lucky Charms.

After purchasing two participating cereals, visit generalmills.com/moviecash to enter the unique code found inside each box of cereal and print your free Movie Cash certificate (good for one admission of up to a $12 value at participating theatres). Since my kids are grown (but still live at home) movie nite is usually just me & hubby seeing movies together,when we do it at home we like to order pizza because that makes it an easy nite for me no extra hassle of cleaning up the kitchen after dinner, we generally do our movie nites at home on the weekends since he gets up so early for work during the week, its great just the 2 of us but when the kids are home they sometimes recommend movies that they have seen and currently playing on indemand so we will watch one of those if its highly recommended and we havent already seen it, now that winter is here we will be doing more movie nites at home instead of going out,we dont like the cold much and its so much more convenient, making popcorn, ordering pizza, saves money and no crowds but when we go out to see a movie, we always have dinner first at a restaurant near the movie theater, then no-one wants popcorn, so that saves money, we rather stay home and watch them on DVD or in demand, its quieter at home and we can stop it to go to the bathroom LOL,

  123. We make movie night special by getting a pizza so Mom doesn’t have to cook, and we always make sure that everyone gets their usual seat, and that everyone has their favorite drink, and glass or cup. (It sounds childish, I know!)

  124. To make our family movie nights special we make a special snack. Then the kids get their pillows and blankies and get comfy. We usually light candles and turn off the lights. Another thing we do is take turns picking the movie that way everyone is happy and gets to see something they want.

  138. Honey Nut Cheerios and Lucky Charms! Thanks for the heads-up. I got a few free tickets when Kellogg’s did this with their cereal and Pop Tarts.

  144. Once and a while, we pretend to go to the theater at home. We make up tickets, have pretend money, the whole works. The kids get to pick out which movie they are “attending”, pay for their tickets and popcorn, and get all snuggly in our “theater” seating (which is the kid size chairs in front of the couch).

  166. Our son is gonna be 4 at the end of the month. He loves to go to the movies. We wait until we are almost there to tell him that we are going. Then he starts jumping up and down when he sees the theater. He likes to get his own popcorn (of course with butter) He then runs to the ticket taker. He tells us to get one of the booster seats, and then he chooses where we sit, usually the very back row all the way up. He is quiet and likes to tell us to shhhh during the movie, cracks me up. Then all the way home he talks about it. I love to go to the movies for just that reason alone, brings a smile on my face to know he gets excited about it and its something I can do for him.

  175. We make movie night special by fixing our favorite snacks, cutting off our cellphones, and cuddling together in the living room as if we are in a drive-in. We have popcorn, hot dogs, soda, and candy.

  181. We love all the general mills cereals and eat them all in our house. I would have to say that Lucky Charms and Honey nut Cheerios show up most frequesntly though.

    We make movie nights special by bringing out all of the old classic films and introducing them to a new generation. It’s so much fun!
