Dentyne premium badge edition bottles

January 20, 2010 by Mariana

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or Email Updates. Thanks for visiting!

When I first saw these new Dentyne limited edition bottles, I thought they looked very cool, but didn’t even think about how practical they are until I started using them. I threw one in my purse, another in the cup holder in the car, and the third one is sitting on my kitchen counter. I’ve found gum to be useful for curbing my cravings – I’ll reach for a piece of gum instead of opening the fridge!

Let me first say that the gum itself is not new, just the packaging. It’s the same Dentyne we all know and love. These premium badge edition bottles, a first in the U.S. gum category, come in twelve bold, limited edition designs for three flavors – Peppermint, the intense Arctic Chill, and Spearmint, my personal favorite!

The bottles, designed by artist Anthony Yankovic, are especially appealing to young adults who love socializing. It’s essential to “practice safe breath” right? Anthony previously produced limited edition designs for trend and badge-driven categories like apparel, skateboards, and snowboards. Each bottle holds 60 pieces of gum, which lasts a lot longer than a typical pack, which always seems to get lost in my purse anyway! The bottles are easy to open, yet stay securely closed, and fit perfectly in the car’s cup holder, making it easy to reach for fresh breath at any moment!

WIN IT!
One reader will win three of the new Dentyne limited edition bottles. One of each flavor! This is enough gum to share with your friends, and should last you for a long time. To enter, please leave a comment telling me what you think of these new bottles. Is it a practical design? How would you use them? Who would you share it with?

For extra entries:

  • Subscribe to my feed by feed reader or email (or let me know if you already do).
  • Follow me on Twitter (@OhMariana) and tweet about this giveaway: Win some cool Dentyne gum from @ohMariana. New limited edition bottles! https://bit.ly/6UdzXi
  • Grab my button (at the bottom of the page) and link to me in your sidebar or blog roll.

Contest ends: January 30th, 2010 11:59 pm EST. US entries only. One person per household may enter. Leave a separate comment for each entry & a valid email address. Winner, chosen at random, has 3 days to claim their prize.

Samples of the three new bottles were provided to me at no cost for the purpose of this review.

These are so neat! My son chews gum constantly (he loves the arctic chill). These would be good for putting on the counter in the kitchen to collect “stuff” in. Right now I have a small tupperware container for things that seem to collect on my counter (screws, elastic bands, etc.) and the top of a laundry detergent bottle for change. These would definitely be a bit classier.

These are so cool. I love the design! I would put one in my truck cupholder, 1 in the kitchen to grab when I’m tempted to munch, and probably give the other one to my teenager, who is always asking me to buy her gum! (fresh breath is important in Jr High too!) When the gum is gone, I think the containers would be handy to use in the household too!

Unique designs, good eye candy in wanting to know more about the gum and wanting to pick one up. I would use them before I go to work and usually keep a box of gum in my cup holder. I would share the rest with my family.
