I’ve always loved music in Spanish. Having spent most of my early years in Mexico, it’s what I grew up listening to. This is why I’m so excited to share some BIG NEWS!
I’m going to the Latin Grammy Awards! Yes! As a correspondent for the Chrysler brand, one of the sponsors of the show. Deemed ‘The Biggest Night in Latin Music’, it takes place at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas and will air on Univision at 8pm ET/PT on Thursday, November 21st. I’ll be tweeting throughout the show (@ohMariana), sharing pictures on Instagram, and will have a recap for you on the blog this weekend.
To think that I’m going to be in the same room with Pitbull, Enrique Iglesias, Ricky Martin, Carlos Vives, and Marc Anthony… pinch me! I am SO excited.

YOUR TURN: Do you listen to any music in Spanish?
I usually do not listen to music in Spanish, not because of the language barrier (I listen to opera music in Italian and do not speak that language either.) I just never knew where to start. Your selections have given me some starting points and I will try to regular follow a couple of the groups and artists on youtube, so I can see which style of Spanish music I like.
