I could sense that my daughters were just a tiny bit disappointed this morning that I didn’t pull any April Fools’ pranks on them before they went off to school, so I did a little research and came up with these ideas. I may or may not have tried most of them today. 😉
- Bake some brown E’s.
- Block the shampoo bottle with plastic wrap.
- Change the settings on the computer mouse, or cover the optical sensor.
- Cover the toilet seat with plastic wrap.
- Create funny keyboard shortcuts on a person’s phone that will autocorrect their text. On an iPhone, go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Text Replacement.
- Cup some water in your hand and pretend to sneeze all over someone.
- Fill Oreos with white toothpaste.
- Make sticks of gum out of Play-Doh.
- Put a for sale sign in your front yard (borrow one from a neighbor!)
- Send a “typing” GIF in the middle of an iMessage conversation. The three little dots. Download it here.
- Set alarms on a person’s phone or tablet to go off randomly.
- Squeeze a drop or two of food dye into your kid’s cup and watch their faces when they pour themselves a glass of milk.
- Stuff toilet paper into your kids shoes. Be sure to compliment them on how much they’ve grown.
- Super glue some coins to the ground in front of your house.
- Tape over the remote sensor on the TV.
- Trick your kids into thinking your phone is broken… go to iPhoneception in your phone’s browser.
