Amp Up Your Iced Coffee

You know it’s summer when you can make the switch from hot coffee to iced! Making it at home is kind of a pain, though, and while I love a good iced coffee from my favorite café, it’s a little expensive to indulge in that often so it’s only a ‘sometimes’ treat.

International Delight has set out to solve this little dilemma! You might already know about all of their delightful coffee creamer flavors – Amaretto, Irish Crème, and Hershey’s Chocolate Caramel are just a few of my favorites! – but did you know that now International Delight is making Iced Coffee, too? Now you can have friends over for coffee anytime, even when you’re out by the pool.

I was recently given the mission to create a cool, fun drink using International Delight Iced Coffee and creamer that I bought at Walmart. With three Iced Coffee flavors (Original, Vanilla, and Mocha) and so many yummy creamer varieties to choose from, the hard part was deciding on the flavor combo!

I love the taste of mint and chocolate together, so I thought I’d pair Mocha Iced Coffee with York Peppermint Pattie coffee creamer for an iced Peppermint Mocha. This is usually considered more of a seasonal flavor, but it works perfectly as a refreshing summertime treat!

The iced coffee comes in a half gallon carton, ready to drink. Just add ice!

It’s rich, creamy, and perfectly sweet.

Maybe a little too sweet, but this is probably to keep the melting ice from watering it down. I added the creamer a little at a time, careful to not overdo it.

Then find a pretty straw…

And, ta-dah! Your iced coffee is ready to serve. In my opinion, it’s as delicious as coffee shop coffee, but a the fraction of the price. The whole carton practically costs as much as one large iced coffee.

Off to the park on this beautiful sunny day… so I decided to take mine to go!
