Bored… and ready for school to start?

School hasn’t started yet in my neck of the woods, not that it even matters to me at this point, since my kids are preschool-age – but I have noticed that boredom is starting to set in with the neighborhood kids, many of whom are actually looking forward to going back to school!

To help make these last few HOT days of summer a little more fun, I’ve got a Blockbuster Summer Escape Pass for one of my readers.

Usually available for $10 a week, the Summer Escape Pass allows you to rent as many DVDs and video games as you’d like from your local participating Blockbuster store. The catch is you can only have one rental out at a time. But considering just a video game rental could cost you up to $8.99, this could potentially be a really good deal, especially if you live near a Blockbuster. This promotion ends September 7th.

  37. Yes, my older son is a doll! He’s very thoughtful and will take good care of his mom! (he’s 11)
    Hubby is at work x24 hours but he’s not a very good caregiver for sick ppl anyway lol

  38. Funny to say that – since he’s an EMT! He has to take care of sick ppl at work all day, so guess he doesn’t wanna have to do it at home! I feel the same way though – I’m a nurse lol

    • Hi Rachel,
      I started this blog almost a year and a half ago, in April of last year. The review opportunities didn’t really start coming in until late October, with things really getting “rolling” in December. I’d suggest you review items you already own or have recently bought to start off, and maybe contact a company or two whose products you like to ask for a review sample. You have nothing to lose, other than them saying no to you. I’ve actually never had anyone say no to me when I did that. Reviewing books is another good way to start. There are several networks that don’t require a certain readership to send you books. I can send you links if you’re interested! – Mariana
