Last-Minute Gift: Build-A-Bear

hellokitty2Thanks to Build-A-Bear Workshop, I found this Hello Kitty on my doorstep a few days ago. Isn’t she adorable? She’s so soft and the perfect size for a little girl to cuddle with. As much as I want to give her to my daughters right now, I’m restraining myself for another 3 days!

Now that I think about it, I just realized that I’ve never actually stepped foot in a Build-A-Bear Workshop. I honestly had no idea that they offer animals other than bears! Sad, I know. I don’t go to the mall much.

I’ve been browsing the website, and the assortment of outfits and accessories available is astonishing! I could literally buy Hello Kitty an outfit for every holiday, season, sport, occupation… you name it! I’m pleasantly surprised that the prices aren’t out-of-this-word expensive, either. As much as I’m sure my daughters will love Hello Kitty, I feel a tad guilty for keeping my 4-year old from what sounds like an amazing experience:

The Build-A-Bear Workshop Experience
Guests who visit a Build-A-Bear Workshop store enter a distinctive teddy bear themed environment consisting of eight stuffed animal-making stations:  Choose Me, Hear Me, Stuff Me, Stitch Me, Fluff Me, Dress Me, Name Me and Take Me Home.

At Choose Me, Guests are introduced to all the furry characters in the store and then select one, which soon becomes their new friend.

At Hear Me, Guests may select from several sound choices to place inside their stuffed animal to further personalize their new friend.

At Stuff Me, with the help of master Bear Builder associates, Guests fill their new friend with stuffing for just the right amount of huggability. Each Guest selects a small satin heart and carefully places it inside their new furry friend. This process brings the furry friendship to life.

At Stitch Me, the last seam is neatly pulled shut, nearly completing each new best friend.

At Fluff Me, the Guest brushes the animal to make sure his or her new friend is well groomed and pawfectly huggable!

At Dress Me, Guests may dress their new friend in the beary latest furry fashions.

At Name Me, Guests answer several questions to create a personalized birth certificate for the furry friend.

At Take Me Home, each new furry friend is placed in their very own Cub Condo carrying case, which is designed as a handy travel carrier and new home.

Doesn’t that sound fun? Build-A-Bear Workshop is now offering email gift cards, so it’s not too late to treat your special little someone, near or far! The gift cards are delivered as customizable e-cards, in the denomination of your choice, and can be created and sent to the recipient in minutes. I’m going to make a trip to a Build-A-Bear Workshop next weekend with the girls, because it sounds like something wonderful to do on a chilly day.
