“We all sayin’ cheese. No rabbit ears behind me!” President Obama said…
But two of the girls on the University of Connecticut women’s basketball team took that as a dare and did just the opposite, playfully giving the president bunny ears as they posed for photos. This happened last week and a lot of people are still talking about it.
Casually giving the president bunny ears! Had a great time being with the team.. Oh and the president? pic.twitter.com/xoj9BELQ77

The team was at the White House to receive praise from President Obama for winning the NCAA championship title earlier this year. The president also commended the team for being role models off the court. I have to admit that my first thought when I saw the photo was that it was completely disrespectful of them to do that to the Commander-in-chief. However, once I watched the video below, showing their playful interaction, my opinion changed. It was just a silly gesture, in response to President Obama’s jokes.
Would I have done that? No way. For one, I wouldn’t want to be remembered as “the girl who gave President Obama bunny ears,” and while not malicious in any way, ultimately, I do think it’s a childish act that’s usually reserved for little kids and not the type of behavior to display around the president.

So Fun, So Silly. The President has tween and teen girls lets assume, “he gets it.” One of the reasons he won the election was that childish younger generation. . .I would have smiled and shook my finger at my daughter and admire her spunk. But that’s just me…..
