A National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) study found that 3 out of 4 kids are not as secure in the car as they should be because their car seats are not being used correctly.
Is your child safety seat properly installed?
Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death among children ages 2 to 14, due in large part to the nonuse or improper use of child seats and seat belts. It all comes down to being informed. Don’t be afraid to ask for help! There are dozens of Inspection Stations across the nation where trained child seat inspectors will verify – free of charge – the installation of your child seat.
Not sure which car seat to use?
Are you looking for a new car seat for your infant, toddler or 4-8 year old child but overwhelmed by the choices? The NHTSA website will help you properly choose and install the correct car seat for your child.
