If your kids watch Playhouse Disney during the week, I’m sure you’ve seen the previews of Chuggington, a new show premiering this upcoming Monday, January 18th.
We were sent a special screener in the mail last week, and my girls knew exactly what it was by looking at the DVD.
Their reaction:
I’m happy to say that Chuggington did not disappoint.
This CGI-animated preschool series follows the humorous and educational adventures of three young ‘trainees’ as they learn to ‘ride the rails’ of life. Throughout each episode, children climb aboard and follow the trainees – Koko, Brewster, and Wilson – as they embark on different adventures where they learn to explore Chuggington, an exciting and safe world. Boys and girls alike will love it, and will learn simple, yet important, social and emotional values from the show. Though it’s a British series, the voices in the Playhouse Disney version are American.
Tune into Playhouse Disney on Monday morning with your kids! Already a ratings success in the U.K., France, Australia, Germany, Japan, and Canada, Chuggington is positioned to be a hit in the U.S. as well. After the series premiere, Chuggington will air Tuesdays through Fridays at 10:30 a.m. ET/PT and weekends at 7:30 a.m. ET/PT.
Chuggington’s online presence includes a rich and engaging website – www.chuggington.com – featuring fun games, coloring sheets, stories, and original content designed specifically for preschoolers to learn and play. For the latest news, you can check out Chuggington on Facebook (www.facebook.com/chuggington), YouTube (www.youtube.com/chuggington), and Twitter (www.twitter.com/chuggington), too. I just downloaded the iPhone app – Roundhouse Romp – and can’t wait to show it to my kids in the morning! At only 99 cents, it’s an affordable way to take Chuggington with us in the car, to the grocery store, etc. 😉
Now my toddler will be saying this everyday:
Watch the opening of the show. It’s a catchy song!
I was provided with a complimentary screener to review.
