This Monday, February 16th, PBS KIDS and Sesame Street are premiering Cookie Monster’s very first special “The Cookie Thief”!
In “The Cookie Thief,” a cookie art museum has just opened on Sesame Street, filled with beautiful cookie paintings, like “Girl With the Cookie Earring” and the “Muncha Lisa,” but art suddenly disappears and Cookie Monster quickly becomes a suspect! Can Cookie Monster clear his name? Will they find the missing art in time or will Cookie Monster be banished from the museum forever? Cookie Monster’s special is a nail-biting, cookie-munching thriller with guest stars including Rachel Dratch of Saturday Night Live fame.
We’ll be baking cookies and snuggling up on the couch to watch! If you miss it on Monday, catch repeats of the all-new one-hour special on Wednesday, February 18th and again on Friday, February 20th, along with an entire week of new Sesame Street episodes. Check your local listings for exact times. Oh, and of course the show is available on pbskids.org/video, the PBS KIDS Video App and on PBS KIDS on Apple TV, Chromecast, Amazon Fire and Roku.
If you’d like to continue the fun after the show, check out the games on pbskids.org/sesame/games. A new “Cookie Thief”-themed game just launched! There’s also a cute app that you can download on your tablet – Cookie Monster’s Challenge. Designed for kids 3-5 years old, it features a series of games designed to engage children and challenge them to practice self-control, focus, memory, following directions and problem-solving.
