Dawn PLUS Hand Renewal

I’ve been using this product for a month now, so I thought it was about time to review it!

Dawn dishwashing liquid has been a trusted brand in my home for as long as I can remember washing dishes, and my mom started me young. Nowadays I have a dishwasher to do most of the dirty work, but there are a few select items that have to be washed by hand nevertheless. Since this is one of those chores you just can’t avoid, might as well make it something that improves the condition of your hands, right?

Dawn products are usually very gentle on your skin anyway, but the new Dawn PLUS Hand Renewal claims that you can “transform the look and feel of your hands” after just five uses. I’m not 100% sure if this is true, but I can tell you that after a month of using it I can definitely see a difference. Gone is the cracked skin that I typically have to deal with all winter long – now the skin on my hands has that dewy just-applied-lotion look.

As for the cleaning power, I found it to be just as good as other Dawn dishwashing liquids, but maybe not quite as sudsy. Perhaps the Vitamin E added to it weighs it down? I love the scent, though – Pomegranate Splash. It’s fruity and fresh. Dawn Plus Hand Renewal is also available in Lavender Silk and Aloe Vera.

There’s a special place in my heart for Dawn Direct Foam, so I’m not sure if I’ll convert to Dawn Plus Hand Renewal just yet.
