Disney Princess 5-in-1 Tasty Baker review

Breakfast at our house had become boring and predictable, until we got the Disney Princess 5-in-1 Tasty Baker by Pop Art.This kitchen gadget is a unique appliance that bakes muffins, bread, cake, pancakes/waffles and brownies! Hence the 5-in-1.Or maybe the 5-in-1 refers to the fact that it has 5 kid-friendly molds in one cooking plate. A gown, tiara, castle, rose and princess. My favorite feature!
The Tasty Baker is so easy to use! Turn the adjustable thermostat to your desired temperature, give it a quick spray of PAM, and wait for the green “ready to bake” light to turn on.While waiting for it to heat up, make the batter. Then pour it into the molds with the included batter scoop, close the lid, and let it bake! The stay-cool exterior makes it safe enough for even a younger child to handle.Your creations bake in one third the time; 8 minutes instead of 24 minutes for cake batter, for instance. This may still seem long for little kids, though, as they want instant gratification! My 5-year-old was excited about the first batch of princess-themed pancakes, but by the third batch she had had enough of helping mommy and just wanted to eat!I used a plastic knife to loosen and remove each piece, as to not scratch the non-stick surface. It took a bit of trial and error to figure out exactly how much to pour into each mold so that it wouldn’t overflow.

The non-stick baking plate makes it easy to remove the pieces and clean up afterwards. It comes with a cleaning brush, though I haven’t actually found the need to use the brush, as cleaning it is simple. I just wipe it off with a damp towel. I’m not sure why I expected it to be messy. It was anything but!

My very first batch! Didn’t turn out so bad, eh?

Product review: 5-in-1 Tasty Baker {chocolate cake}

These bite-sized treats will delight your family at breakfast, snacktime, parties, play dates and every special occasion. We first made chocolate cake. I really like how this turned out. The edges of the pieces were all crispy! We’ve also made pancakes quite often, which are just perfect with a little bit of syrup to dip in. You can even make eggs, though we haven’t tried that yet. For those of you that really want to get creative, you could try making a biscuit and egg sandwich, mini layer cakes, ice cream sandwiches, etc. You can find recipes online at www.poparttoaster.com. So fun!

The Disney Princess 5-in-1 Tasty Baker retails for $34.99, and you can find it online and in stores. Try Amazon, Target, or browse the Pop Art Toaster website for a retailer near you. If princesses aren’t your thing, there’s also a Mickey Mouse Tasty Baker, and the original that includes fun shapes like a heart and smiley face.

My toddler was intrigued…

Pancakes fit for a princess!

Pop Art Toasters provided me with a Disney Princess 5-in-1 Tasty Baker at no charge for this review, but that in no way shapes my opinion on the product. No other compensation was received for this post.
