I just stopped by the new Intel Experience at my local Best Buy and I was blown away!

WHAT IS THE INTEL TECHNOLOGY EXPERIENCE?
The Intel Experience shows customers the power of Intel, the technology behind the tablets and laptops we love and rely on every day. But Intel does so much more than just that!
At the Intel Technology Experience, you can build and print your own 3D robot, show off your racing skills on Mars in an augmented reality world, master beats and remix tracks by Ne-Yo as a digital DJ, and check out the latest PC and tablet devices powered by Intel processors. For many of us, this is the first opportunity to see, touch, and play with exciting new technologies we’ve only heard about! These are some of the things that really stood out to me.
3D Printing
How awesome would it be to have my own 3D printer? I’d make jewelry, plastic dishes, iPhone cases… my homemade holiday gifts would get kicked up a notch.
I was surprised to see that this Cube 3D printer costs less than $1000!
The girls had a lot of fun designing their own robots, though we didn’t actually get to see the printer in action. Maybe next time.
Averaging 240 square feet, the Intel Experience takes up a pretty large area in the store. Lots of space to play! While I loved the 3D printer, Maya and Maura’s favorite element was the Ne-Yo music experience. Here you get to be the ultimate dj, remixing his song, getting the audience hyped up, adjusting the lights…
Maura was obsessed with the confetti! So fun.
They kept coming back to this. Now let’s add some fog!
Lastly, we went off-roading on Mars! Ha!
This virtual reality game was really fun, and there were enough tablets for all four of us to play! Fun for all ages, but I failed my mission because I put my tablet down to take a picture. 😉
Hopefully through my pictures you can see how much fun we had! The area is staffed by specially trained Best Buy Blue Shirts to answer questions and help you make the most of each area within the experience. Each season, Intel will refresh it with a new array of technology. I’m looking forward to seeing what new, innovative activities they come up with next!
