SO glad that all our Halloween festivities are finally over. It all culminated with our annual neighborhood parade and post-party earlier this afternoon. I’m not sure if I’ve unconsciously distanced myself from the neighborhood, but I really just didn’t enjoy myself. I’m tired of the never-ending questions about how the sale of our house is going so I tended to just play with the kids instead of mingling with the parents.
Baby made such a sticky mess of her Pooh costume on Friday (photos below), that I had to find another costume for her, for the parade. I can’t just throw the Pooh costume in the washer; I have to wash it by hand and there just wasn’t time for all that.
This little devil suit seemed like a good possibility. Notice how the bunny slippers soften the look.
So we went with her big sister’s old witch costume. That was just right.
And lastly, a few photos from Friday night’s trick-or-treating:
After the first two houses, baby was done. She preferred to sit in the stroller and watch.
Oh! And she had her first lollipop ever that night. I couldn’t pry it out of her hands, she was holding it so tight!
Maya readily agreed to go back home after only an hour. She was more than happy with the 3 buckets of candy that she had collected. Since the night was still young, we capped it off with the Halloween episode of Dora. There was only one complaint – “Mommy, Dora wore that same costume LAST year!”

SUCH cute photos! It looks like everyone had a good time! That’s too funny about Dora’s costume though, lol.

After every single picture, I thought “oh my goodness! They can’t get any cuter than that!” and then they just kept getting cuter and cuter. What gorgeous girls you have.
I love the witch costume, too, by the way. I think it’s my favorite of all of them. 🙂
