I was thinking today about how to decorate the house for Halloween. We’re hosting the neighborhood party and parade on Halloween Day, so that puts a little pressure on me to kick it up a notch. Fake spiderwebs on the bushes don’t seem like quite enough! I know we’ll be turning our playset into a haunted house, but other than that, I’ll have to get creative on a minimal budget.
Fortunately, the music part is taken care of. We have two outdoor speakers in the backyard and a long playlist of both fun and spooky songs. One of my favorite tunes is “Haunted House” by Jumpin’ Gene Simmons. An oldie but a goodie!

We’re hosting an adult Halloween party this year and I’m in the same boat as you as far as a budget for decorations. I think the girls and I may make some headstones for the yard.
