Healthy and radiant Fall skin with Neutrogena

August 28, 2013 by Mariana

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or Email Updates. Thanks for visiting!

This post is part of a compensated campaign in collaboration with Latina Bloggers Connect and NEUTROGENA, but all opinions are my own.

Fall – my favorite time of the year. The days are getting cooler, the leaves will start changing colors soon, and school is starting! I tend to neglect myself a bit during the summer, focusing all my attention on my kids, so it’s nice to have a little more “me” time; maybe I’ll even do some shopping next week. While I’m not big into buying new clothes for every season, I do love investing in a new pair of boots and a handbag. Purses and shoes… they always fit! A fabulous new coat and one key piece of jewelry are also great buys.

My makeup and skincare routines change with the seasons as well. In the summer I hardly wear anything – maybe just some tinted moisturizer and lip gloss. I sweat the rest off, so what’s the point? And while I make sure to wear sunscreen every day, I probably slack on taking care of my skin otherwise. This collage illustrates some of my must-have Fall trends, as well as a few of my favorite skincare products from Neutrogena:

Fall fashion and beauty must-haves by ohmariana featuring a black leather handbag

As for how my routine changes, since the weather gets colder, I have to moisturize every day. Can’t skip it. I also like to add a little more color, to make up for the lack of a tan! A product like Neutrogena Healthy Skin Custom Glow Blush & Bronzer is great because it’s a coordinated blush and bronzer that’s lightweight and blends effortlessly, so I can get a sun-kissed glow anytime. Along with the Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup, my skin looks and feels great!

I find myself sleeping less, so for those mornings I have to be up and at it bright and early, the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Brightening Eye Perfector is essential! It covers shadows and helps de-puff the eye area, hiding the awful dark circles under my eyes. And it protects my skin with Broad Spectrum SPF 25.

At the end of the day, to battle all the damage from the harsh summer sun, I’m fighting it with Neutrogena’s Rapid Wrinkle Repair line. However, I’ll first wash my face with something gentle, like Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash. I’ve used that since I was a teenager. But for those nights when I’m just too exhausted to do anything more, wipes are the answer! Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes are as gentle as water and safe to use around the eye area. Plus, there’s no need to rinse, so I can even do it on-the-go.

Does your makeup and skincare routine change with the seasons?

    Heavens yes!
We have very drastic seasons here so I am always having to tweak things along the way.
Lighter stuff in the summer when its warm and the addition of lots of lotion in the fall and winter when it gets dryer and cold. HATE chapped hands with a passion!

I’m so committed to taking care of my skin, especially in dry weather. I don’t change it drastically from season to season, though. Sunblock 2x a day, moisturizer at night. I love the cleansing towelettes as well!

I have to use sunscreen every day and moisturize often. As the weather here does not change much during the year, I don’t have to change my routine. I really love Neutrogena hand and foot cream and their lip balm too.

It does! And its mainly because I tan so easily during the summer months and I am outdoors a lot more. I tend to clean my skin a lot more to keep the pH levels balanced and I even have to use different foundations because my skintone and condition changes so much.
