Hitting the Road? Survive the Winter Travel Season with Disney Family.com

December 1, 2009 by Mariana

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or Email Updates. Thanks for visiting!

Do you tend to get lost in the shuffle between family, work & holiday-related obligations and festivities?

I know I do! I’d love a little “me time” to just relax by a warm fire and read a book, or give myself a pedicure. I always tend to ignore my toes in the winter, telling myself that no one will see them anyway!

But back to traveling. Having just taken a family road trip this weekend, I know how important it is to have the information you need to plan your vacation. Because – really – who does ALL the research, books the hotel, picks the restaurants? Mom does. At least that’s how it works in our family.

If you’re looking for expert reviews, travel recommendations, and age-appropriate points of interest for family-friendly destinations on any budget, visit DisneyFamily.com/Travel. This site has tons of ideas that are sure to give you inspiration for family trips year-round. There’s even a community where you can meet fellow parent travelers!

Disney Family.com recognizes the importance of taking time for oneself during the busy holiday season. That’s why they’re offering some luxurious treats to help moms get through the hustle and bustle of this time of year. One lucky reader will win a “Survive the Winter Travel Season with Family.com” kit!

It includes a BUILT bottle tote, Godiva Holiday Truffle box, adult GAP mittens, a scented candle from Restoration Hardware, and a set of 4 holiday Mini Merry nail polishes from OPI.

A total value of $82!

To enter, please leave a comment telling me about any holiday travel plans, or let me know if you are one of the lucky ones that get to stay home this holiday season.

For extra entries:

  • Subscribe to my feed by feedreader or email (or let me know if you already do).
  • Follow me on Twitter (@OhMariana) and tweet about this giveaway: Win a Winter Travel Season Survival Kit from @ohMariana and #DisneyFamily.comTravel – https://bit.ly/6hCfNb
  • Grab my button (at the bottom of the page) and link to me in your sidebar or blog roll.

Contest ends: December 10th, 2009 11:59 pm EST. US entries only. Leave a separate comment for each entry & a valid email address/blog URL. Winner, chosen at random, has 3 days to claim their prize.

Giveaway prize provided by Disney Family.com Travel; no other compensation was received for this post.

I am one of the lucky ones to stay home, the rest of the family travel here. They all get her just before Christmas Eve. We dig out the ole feather beds, cots, sofa beds and prepare for Christmas Eve day, we celebrate on Christmas all day, big buffet, and exchange gifts, everyone leaves late that night except the long distance travelers.

We are traveling for the holidays, but we are splitting up the travel. First we are going to Havasu City to visit my mom, aunts, uncles, cousins, and my nieces. We will stay home for Christmas, but then we are off again on the day after Christmas, because we are celebrating my son’s birthday at Disneyland on the 27th. We are going to drive to California from AZ on the 26th, get a hotel, and then hit Disneyland on the 27th. Can’t wait!. Thanks for the giveaway.
