I was wrong

I was just telling my husband that at this time last year, our yellow daffodils were already in bloom… but I’m wrong! Just pulled up photos from March 2009, and there is snow on the ground. A lot of it.

This is from March 3rd…

Oh darn! Was wishfully thinking that might magically switch to a boquet of flowers she’s holding….LOL. Maybe if I check back later. Or in a few months.

Love that picture of your daughter. My kids had fun putting icicles in the freezer. The icicles were hanging from my car. Which reminds me I guess I should toss the icicles crowding the freezer!

Great photo! Spring is coming. I just had to see the proof, so I went outside this morning and dug around under the mulch to see if my bulbs were sending up shoots under all that mulch, and THEY ARE! It’s almost spring time!!!!

We have icicles of a different kind at this time of year. It’s hot over here in Victoria, Australia, so we’re making flavoured icypoles to eat. We are heading into Autumn and I can’t wait for that white stuff to fall on our local mountains.

Great pic and love those rather large gloves. LOL

I think this is cute. Everyone keeps wondering where spring is, and I keep saying – it’s still winter! I don’t think we should wish our seasons away so fast, enjoy what we’ve got while we’ve got it.

I’m with you Diana. Even though I look forward to the white stuff, we are having the most fantastic Summer/Autumn storms at the moment. Scary actually, but we’ve finally got plenty of rain and our fire season was tame compared to the tragic firestorms of last Summer.

I love all seasons and wish more people did.
