It’s NERF or Nothin’!

This isn’t a toy I’d usually feature here, because my kids are too young to play with it, but I thought some of you might enjoy it. You’re not tired of the giveaways are you? Because I’m just getting started! 😉

  21. This is sad but true but we used to have a drinking game in college while we were watching Friends that if you could hit (and make it stick) Chandler on the face when he was on tv that the other people had to take a drink..sad but true..ah college why did I ever leave…

  25. We’re big fans of nerf toys. We love the dart guns, and usually grab a few for the kids during the summer. We spend a few days out at the lake, and they’ll run around playing nerf dart tag for hours. Great fun for everyone.

  28. My fondest memory with a Nerf toy was when my son was about 5. He was playing in his grandparents’ yard with his Nerf football and his lovable dog, Brownie. My son came into the house crying because he had put his toy football helmet on the dog’s head and it was stuck! It took a while for his Dad to get it off. Brownie then snatched the Nerf football, ran to the corner of the yard, and began to dig a hole to bury it. Hubby came to the rescue again. My boy and his beautiful dog had lots of fun together.

  31. Too many memories with these things. I can remember getting a Reactor and a Maverick for christmas one year when I was little itty bitty, shooting my mom nonstop for the 5 days that followed.

  44. My favorite Nerf memory is actually this comic I saw- he told a story about how his parents thought nerf balls were so safe, but he and his brothers would soak them for three days in water, then freeze them and then wing them at each other. It was hilarious!

  46. My memories are of my brother shooting me with his guns!! Thank goodness those things were soft!

  59. My brother in law gave my husband (his brother) an automatic Nerf gun for Christmas this past year. Given, we are all grown adults, but we had a ball!

  63. I had a very early Nerf ball. It was just a blue-green foam ball, but we thought it was really cool because we could throw it in the house and not get in trouble.

  85. the best memory recently happened and it was a nerf gun fight with my soon to be father-in-law, it was the greatest bonding time ever.

  104. Actually my nerf memories occur every Fathers day 🙂 I always try to buy something fun Nerf style for my hubby in addition to his gift! It makes him feel like a kid again and gives up something fun to do!

  116. My fondest memory of Nerf is when my oldest children were smaller.
    My son was three and my daughter two. I bought a nerf gun with a belt that held foam missles for my son but my daughter cried cause she wanted it to. So being the good boy that he was he kept the gun but gave her the belt which she wore around her waist all day long. She was thrilled and he was just as happy to pretend that he had missles.

  118. My favorite nerf memories involve getting their guns for Christmas every year. I have 3 sisters and no brothers so my dad got us “boy toys” so we could play with him.

  144. My fondest Nerf memory is recent. This Easter the kids and my husband all got Nerf guns from the Easter Bunny! They are STILL having wonderful fun with them! They all got the guns, but Daddy got extra bullets!

  154. Before my younger brother died we would have all out WARS! He would build a fort out of couch cushions and I would hide under the kitchen table with two chairs in front for walls. (Our kitchen was next to the living room) If one of us received a head shot we would instantly become super dramatic and give a whole dying scene. Those were the best times of my life. I hope to give this (if I win) to my little cousin as a gift for starting middle school.

  170. I just remember how he Nerf football was a staple for every kid. Now Nerf has so many different things!

  171. I am not sure that I ever played with nerf as a kid. But I do have fun memories watching my young nephews play with their nerf toys. They love those things!

  178. My son loves to play with his nerf football and he and my husband take it to the park all the time. It’s so sweet to see them tossing it around!

  180. When I first started dating my husband, his brothers were 8 and 10 and they would hid in the bushes and when I came up to the door they would shoot nerf arrows at me. I jokingly said that when they started dating, I would do the same thing to their girlfriends but I never actually got the chance because we moved out of the state before they were of dating age.

  190. I have to say my fondest memory is anytime playing sports with nerf instead of other balls because I am a klutz and always got hit in the head! I wish they used them in gym class but it was only after school.

  204. Not sure if it is fond or not, but my brother lining me and my other brother up on the side of our home and playing dart practice with his nerf gun. At least it didn’t hurt!
