I don’t give my skin nearly as much attention as I should, so I was practically drooling as I looked through the variety of products available. It’s so easy to find just what you need right from the homepage. All you have to do is decide what kind of pampering you want! Polish, moisturize, massage – it’s all there and more. If any of the ingredients or fragrances sound foreign to you, there’s a handy ingredients page with detailed descriptions of every element KLEAN uses in their products. Most of the ingredients are natural; the ones that aren’t are the fragrance oils. There are some times when only a man-made version of a scent will do. (Like chocolate!) All the products are human-tested, and I got to test a few myself, for that matter.
I have to say that the Lime Crush Salt Scrub is my favorite of all the products I tried. This is KLEAN’s first ever salt scrub and the first KLEAN product I happened to sample. Not only does it smell like a freshly-made margarita, but it does wonders for my dry skin! It contains Dead Sea salt for exfoliating dead skin cells, macadamia and coconut oils to leave your skin soft and smooth, and lime and peppermint to refresh your skin. I had no idea that peppermint reduces the growth of bacteria and fungi – no wonder it’s in so many foot creams! The grains of salt are huge and crushed peppermint mint leaves abound. It seems like such a natural product to use on my skin, not like those refined scrubs that you find at popular brick-and-mortar bath & body stores. I exfoliate polish before shaving, and also use the scrub on the typical dry spots (elbows, ankles); it works like a charm! My legs have been smoother after shaving, and my elbows are as soft as my baby’s butt.
The KLEAN Kube is KLEAN’s first stab at making soap. What I found appealing about this little cube right off the bat, besides its unique shape, is that it’s made of glycerin. Glycerin is a humectant, which means that it draws moisture to your skin, allowing it to remain hydrated and soft, unlike bar soaps which are drying and not really soap at all. It also leaves little, if any, soap scum. I’ve been using the Pomegranate-Fig scent for a week now, and love it’s delicate fruity notes. It’s gentle enough for the girls to use, which is a huge bonus. I hate having to buy separate soap for them!
The whipped shea body butter is dangerous. Hubby even told me to make sure not to leave it within the girls’ reach. No, their’s no poison in it or anything… it’s actually quite the opposite. It smells so good we’re afraid they’ll dip their little fingers right into it and eat it all up! Peppermint Dream is the flavor, and the name says it all. It has 25% shea butter, chamomile and grapefruit seed extract. It goes on smooth as butter (hence the name) and doesn’t leave me feeling greasy. The result is nothing less than what I’ve come to expect from KLEAN – soft, supple skin with just a hint of scent.
For those of you looking for a unique gift idea, KLEAN offers a Scrub-of-the-Month Club! For either 3, 6 or 12 months, you can give the gift of freshly scrubbed skin to the one you love, with one KLEAN Body Polish delivered to the recipient a month. I absolutely LOVE this concept. This is definitely a gift that keeps on giving! I’m not one to buy lots of luxury products for myself (typical mom behavior, right?) so if someone got this for me as a gift, I’d squeal with delight! Other than when I’m blogging late at night, I think the only “me time” I have is in the bathtub. So for those of you that say I’m hard to buy for – you know who you are – all I’ve got to say is… hint hint.
The girls are in bed, so I bet you can guess where I’m going! Yep… to take a nice, long bath.
A huge thanks to KLEAN for sending me such yummy stuff!

This sounds like a great product. I surely have any skin care product that has high concentration of Dead Sea minerals on it.
