My daughters have both had their yearly check-ups recently and are incredibly interested in how the human body works. Those pictures and charts posted on the walls of the doctor’s office are great conversation starters, and LeapFrog’s Tag Interactive Human Body Discovery Pack is a wonderful way to keep the learning going!

Aimed at kids 4 to 8 years old, this five-piece set features a two-sided interactive chart and game board, an interactive growth chart, and three interactive sticker sheets. Just take the Tag Reader (sold separately) and tap anywhere on the board for interesting body facts and hidden activities. More than 300 interactive responses and 40+ learning activities introduce body facts, body systems, health and nutrition in a fun and engaging way.

For now, the anatomy activities seem to be the most interesting to the girls. Maura is fascinated with bones and took her time finding the perfect spot for each bone sticker on the growth chart, then touched each one with the Tag Reader to see what it’s called.

Maya thought she knew everything about the human body, but quickly discovered that there are some organs she didn’t know about, like the liver!

The interactive growth chart personalizes the learning, letting my kids mark their growth milestones with stickers. Maura just added the first week of school, for instance, and she remembered that she’s 43 inches tall, so I helped her write that in. These stickers aren’t just normal stickers, however! Tap them with the Tag Reader to hear them “talk,” plus the skeleton glows in the dark!

I liked the games and imagine the girls will likely go back to these over and over, like they do with the Tag books. On each side of the board, simply touch the green buttons to launch the fun games. Because I like for them to play together, I appreciate LeapFrog including a two-person game called “Making Healthy Choices” where kids have to make good choices throughout the day. The first one to make it through the day and back home wins!

Lastly, there are several fun songs that you’ll find yourself singing even after the Tag is put away. There’s a two-minute Brush Your Teeth song, as this is the recommended length of time to brush your teeth. Same with the Washing Hands song, which encourages kids to keep their hands clean. I find myself singing it every time we wash our hands (much to my kids’ annoyance!)

Part of the Tag library of 60 books, maps, puzzles and more, the Tag Interactive Human Body Discovery Pack will help kids discover how the human body works through play and exploration. I can see the girls referring to this often. Another great addition to our growing Tag library!
