A birthday at Cox Farms

With all the preparations for our trip, I failed to post photos from Maya’s 4th birthday celebration.

This year, her birthday fell on the most beautiful Saturday of September. We spent the morning at Cox Farms in Northern Virginia, where a Fall Festival is held yearly that just happened to kick off on Maya’s birthday.

I reserved a table in the “Party Zone”, a new feature at Cox Farms this year. It was in a nice, shady area, and decorated with balloons, pumpkins, and delicious apples. Bandanas and a few other party favors were included, as well as ice cream for all the kids. It was the easiest (and dare I say – the funnest!) party I’ve thrown for Maya thus far.

10 of her closest friends were able to attend, although it was hard to stay together due to the size of the farm.

There were hay tunnels to go through and climb on.

And of course, cake.
I chose to make cupcake cones so the kids (and parents) could just grab ‘n go.

After going home and resting a bit, we continued the festivities at Ted’s Montana Grill.

Then back home to open presents!

It was a wonderful day for all of us! I still can’t believe my little princess is already 4!
