The first week of the new year has been lovely. And I say this in all sincerity! As I said in my resolution post earlier this week, I’m devoting more time to me, and I’m happier for it.
I’ve exercised everyday. Eaten well. Rewarded myself in some way. I’m playing with my daughters nonstop. Teaching the oldest to read, and the youngest to pee in the potty…
My writing has suffered, however. By the end of the day, I’m so exhausted that I can barely lift a finger to type. I stare at my screen for a while, and think of my subscribers. No one wants a newsletter with one crappy, put-together-at-the-last-minute post in it! I know I wouldn’t. So another day passes with nothing written and I get further and further behind…
BUT I’m taking care of myself. And that’s what matters most to me right now. I’m feeling rejuvenated, revitalized, refreshed, reinvigorated, reenergized, restored, reanimated. Yes, I know all those words basically mean the same thing. I was just trying to see how many I could think of. ๐
And now… the first 7 photos of my 365 Project!
FridayNew Year’s Day was perfect. Had a late breakfast and stayed in our pjs all day. Apparently I made the girls’ chocolate milk a little too chocolatey! |

SaturdayStarted reading The Spark, written by the founder of SparkPeople.com – one of my favorite websites at the moment! Hopefully this will get me on track for leading a healthier lifestyle. I’m a few chapters in, and loving it! |

SundayFirst day of potty training! MJ was excited. Maybe a little too excited, as she spent most of the day sitting there. That first day was tough – lots of accidents – but it’s getting better. |

MondayWe have dinner at a pizza place once a week (Joe’s Pizza and Pasta). It’s something we all look forward to. I’m proud to say I filled up at the salad bar, had a little sausage and peppers, a small piece of eggplant parm, and I was stuffed! No pizza for me. {Patting myself on the back} |

TuesdayStill haven’t taken down the tree. The branches are drooping, the pine needles falling off. Putting the decorations away is SO much work. |
|
WednesdayI won a running skirt from Metropolitan Mama. Ordered it one size too small so I have something to strive for… is that wrong? Now to sign up for another 5K! |
|
ThursdayMaya has been “tagging” random things throughout the house with her initial. Toys, books, the cable box, cabinets, you name it. It’s become quite a problem. |

What a fun way to document your week! I don’t think I took a picture every day. No, in fact, I KNOW I didn’t. Ah well! ๐
