Have you heard of Petz video games? Dating all the way back to 1995, this franchise – which has sold more than 23 million units worldwide – is back and more interactive than ever! Published by Ubisoft, Petz Beach is a fun video game for the Nintendo 3DS that allows kids (or adults!) to play with a variety of animals and go on all sorts of adventures.
Doesn’t just looking at the game cover make you smile? 🙂
In this game, Petz fans will embark on the ultimate adventure, caring for a variety of adorable animals, all while completing fun quests to expand your village. There are more than 50 different types of animals – from dogs and cats, to dolphins, penguins, and whales! Something for every kid. And because the environment in game changes with the seasons, the adventure lasts all year long! It’s such a pretty setting – blue skies, white sandy beaches, towering palm trees, and clear ocean waters.
I like that the game expands as you play, so it will always keep my kids’ attention. As they explore the town and meet new neighbors with their pets, the game expands and grows, just as your community would grow in real life. Helping new friends will also expand the village as the game progresses. You even have the ability to connect with real friends and other Petz owners.
What I really appreciate is that my girls will be learning while they play! Through its partnership with Encyclopaedia Britannica, Petz Beach incorporates interesting facts about animals, plants and insects as kids care for their pets and complete missions. They’re learning without even realizing it! Both Maya and Maura, 7 and 10 years old respectively, really enjoyed playing this game. There favorite part is training their dogs and teaching them new tricks! Maya also liked taking her dog out to the beach and looking for treasures… if we could only do so in real life!
BUY IT!
Released a couple of weeks ago, just in time for the holidays, you can purchase Petz Beach on Amazon.com for the Nintendo 3DS system. It’s rated E for Everyone! By the way, another cool game that was just released is Petz Countryside, where you’ll get the same fun experience but in a different environment, exchanging sandy beaches for green fields, and dogs and cats for lions, pandas, and bears… oh my!
Do your kids like playing pet simulation games like this? What’s their favorite??
