Just days before our recent trip to Busch Gardens, the girls got a surprise in the mail from Spin Master… a new Pop On Pals Amusement Park Play Set. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect, and added to the excitement about going to a “real” amusement park. The playset has been played with everyday since.
What are Pop On Pals?
Best for ages 2 to 4, Pop On Pals provide kids with a world of mix ‘n match fun. Each pal comes with pop-on mix ‘n match rings that allow kids to change their pal’s appearance. For instance, a fireman becomes a musician, a princess become a baker, a puppy becomes a ballerina, etc. There are a variety of pals, pets, vehicles, and playsets available, for lots of different “Popabilities.”
Pop On Pals Amusement Park Play Set
This adorable miniature amusement park comes to life with lights, sounds, music, and more surprises! There are 5 different activation points where your child can pop their pal and see what happens! Expect the typical amusement park games and attractions – a strong man striker, milk toss game, a dragon swing, ferris wheel, and our favorite feature – a roller coaster! The lights and sounds are all very understated, not annoying or never-ending like other battery-operated toys can be. The girls really have had a lot of fun with this playset, especially 3-year-old Maura. It’s great for role playing! It’s sturdy, yet light enough for her to carry around from room to room.
My only disappoint lies in that the play set only comes with one Pop On Pal. Multiple pals are shown on the box art, so I feel a bit deceived. My daughters felt the same way. With the various activities available, and three park themed pop-on rings, it’s obvious that the amusement park is meant to be enjoyed by more than one kid at the same time, encouraging social skills like sharing and taking turns. An additional pal, or even a pet, would make it a more complete set.
Buy It!
