We’re in dire financial straits. More so than we’ve ever been. I guess it’s getting to the point where it’s taking it’s toll, because I’ve been really down lately. I can’t fall asleep at night, but still have to wake up early, so the lack of sleep probably isn’t helping. My house is unkempt, and my blog has been neglected. 3 posts in the last two weeks!
I’ve been keeping myself busy with pointless tasks – clipping coupons that I’ll never use, organizing and repeatedly rearranging my bookmarks, doing crossword puzzles, reading old issues of Entertainment Weekly…
The kids, and the babysitting I’m doing have also kept me occupied. Friday I got a check for $190 from that… just about enough to cover BlogHer registration. Too bad it had to go towards paying for groceries and the phone bill.
Spring is just around the corner though, so hopefully business will pick up again. I’m cautiously optimistic.
One bright spot in my week was something that happened late last night – my mom paid for my BlogHer registration just hours before Early Bird pricing was supposed to end. I’m going to pay her back, hopefully sooner rather than later.
In other news, I redesigned my review blog. If there’s something I could change about myself, it would be that I’m a perfectionist. Some people might consider it a strength, but in my case it’s a huge weakness. It took me changing the theme 5 times before I finally just left it as it is now. So let me know what you think. I tested it on a zillion browsers, but if there’s something off, tell me!
On that note, I noticed tonight that someone entered one of my giveaways multiple times, with different names and email addresses. This just makes me SO mad. How do I deal with it? Do I just ignore her entries, delete them… block her altogether? Tell everyone I know so they can keep an eye out? I know it may not be a big deal to some people, but I spend lots of time writing reviews, setting up the giveaways, submitting them to a million sites… and then to find out people are cheating just makes me not want to do it anymore.
So tell me a joke… a funny story… share a great link. Just do something that’ll bring a smile to my face, because I need it. Badly.

Yikes. I’d say you do need some cheering up. (But OH MY WORD. I cannot possibly come up with anything for you right this minute because my husband is packing for a business trip right this minute and he is making me avert myself from the comput…there he goes again…every 30 seconds to ask my opinion on a jacket/pants/shirt combo and I am about to say I DON’T GIVE A RATS WHAT YOU WEAR…but…again he interrupts. But…again. This is ridiculous.
So even if I had something funny to write you…an anecdote, a funny quote from my boys, a funny TV show…It would currently be humanly IMPOSSIBLE for me to recollect such funny-ness at this moment.
Because apparently my husband is colorblind.
Sorry.
I hope to avail my humor to you at another time.
Maybe tomorrow when he’s in the next state.

Ugh, it sounds like you need a hug along with your joke!
First your review site looks awesome! As for the multi-enterer… ouch! I wouldn’t even know how to look for that! I’m impressed you picked up on it. That said, imagine the amount of work that person has done just to get all that set up. You’d think she could harness that energy towards something that might actually net her something. What a waste of her time. I say delete her entries and ban her.
Now, the joke? Well, I always head here when I need a chuckle! https://cakewrecks.blogspot.com/ and https://icanhascheezburger.com/
Hope you have a fabulous week that’s filled with glorious surprises.

I’m so sorry to hear you’re having a rough time! Hang in there and know that you’ll learn things at this point in your life that you will carry with you always. You’ll come out stronger and smarter in the end 🙂
((((HUGS))))

Here is the best “bad” joke I’ve heard in awhile. Perhaps I am mentally challenged, but it makes me laugh every time I read it.
With all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the moment, it is worth reflecting on the death of a very important person, which almost went unnoticed last week.
Larry LaPrise, the man who wrote ‘The Hokey Pokey’ died peacefully at the age of 93. The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin. They put his left leg in. And then the trouble started.
