Jump-started my morning with fresh-ground coffee from my grocery store’s Rubi Kiosk as part of a sponsored post for Collective Bias®!
I hate grocery shopping. The whole process… making a list, clipping coupons, making sure I have my reusable bags, actually doing the shopping, waiting in line, paying a fortune… sigh. I don’t understand (or believe) the people that say they love it! It’s just one more chore that has to get done, and the more pleasant the experience can be, the better! Little things, like finding a good sale, a great parking spot, and sipping a delicious cup of fresh-brewed coffee while browsing the aisles make me happy.
I think I must have passed the machine at my local Harris Teeter a dozen times before I finally noticed it – a Rubi Kiosk, just past the entrance. It’s bright red, how could I miss it? Similar to a Redbox (part of the same company, in fact), Rubi gives you fresh coffee on demand. So awesome. Not only can you get a hot cup of delicious coffee in under a minute, but it’s at a price that can’t be beat!
The first time I had coffee from this machine, my expectations weren’t high – I just wanted a hot beverage – and I was pleasantly surprised! Now I love checking out the new flavors, like the seasonal Café Pumpkin that I got this morning. So good! The sweetness and pumpkin spice flavor were spot on, and I just added a splash of cream for a little extra richness. For the non-coffee drinkers, there’s hot chocolate. Yum!
Rubi uses Seattle’s Best coffee made from beans that are ground right at the kiosk when you order. Smooth and full of depth, like French Press, but at the touch of a button. There are many milk and sweetener options available, so you can make the coffee your own. The cups and lids are in closed compartments, so it’s all very clean and organized, too. Rubi’s a wonderful, money-saving alternative to a traditional coffee shop, and so convenient! If only I had one in my house…
