After what felt like the longest winter ever, I’m so ready for spring and all the joy that it brings! Good weather, gorgeous flowers, and lots of celebrations… that’s not too much to ask, is it? One big event we’ll be celebrating – my baby brother is graduating from high school next month! It seems like just yesterday that he was this chubby-cheeked, sweet little boy. Headed off to college soon, he’s not so little anymore!
My brother is 13 years younger than me, and I left home when he was just a preschooler, so being far – over a thousand miles away – has been really tough. I know I missed a lot of the big moments in his life, but we still manage to be super close. At least I’d like to think we are. (Thank goodness for Facebook!)
Now, at 18, he’s still as sweet, not quite so chubby-cheeked, and about a foot taller than me! He’s done some amazing things already, and know that he’s going to accomplish so much more. This is just the beginning!
I’ve been thinking of surprising him with some graduation announcements, or perhaps a couple of photo books chronicling his high school years. Shutterfly has a great selection. Photo books are such an easy way to preserve and share memories, and can be made in minutes! Announcements are a wonderful way to spread the news of his graduation to family all over the world, though, so I’ll probably go with that. 🙂
He’d like something simple like this, I’m sure. What do you think?
