There’s a “heat watch” in effect this entire weekend, with record high temperatures expected. Heat indices could approach 110 degrees! Definitely not typical weather for early June in the DC area. Just last week I was complaining about how it was too cool for the girls to play in the sprinkler, and now it may be too hot to play outside at all!
One night last week, I had a vivid (yet completely random) dream in which I was no more than 3 or 4 years old, and having a blast playing on a Slip ‘N Slide in my front yard in Austin. The next day I went to Target and bought one for Maya. She hasn’t done much slipping or sliding, but loves being in the water nonetheless:
