I’m not ashamed to say that I frequently make my daughters peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch. My 5-year old is SO picky that sometimes it’s easier to just make her a quick PB&J that I know she’ll eat, rather than fight with her over peas and carrots.
Convenient and portable, Uncrustables thaw-and-serve sandwiches make for easy on-the-go snacks that provide the protein kids need and the great homemade peanut butter and jelly taste they love. When we go out to a museum, for example, I throw a few in my bag and they’re thawed by lunchtime.
Smucker’s recently added a new whole wheat version of its sandwich to the Uncrustables line and a couple of new flavors. You can now get the classics – PB & Grape and PB & Strawberry – on whole wheat and for something different, try PB & Honey or just Peanut Butter by itself.
Mom Central sent me a coupon for a free box of Uncrustables, and I decided to buy the new whole wheat kind, Peanut Butter & Grape Jelly, of course! We eat wheat bread almost exclusively so my daughters didn’t even notice anything out of the ordinary. From now on this will be the kind that I buy because even that extra gram or two of fiber and protein makes a difference!
In an effort to give moms an “after school snack break,” The J.M. Smucker Company will give away 80,000 Smucker’s Uncrustables sandwiches! Starting this upcoming Monday, September 28th, you can register for a free 4-pack box by logging on to www.uncrustables.com and sharing a helpful time-saving after-school organizational tip. I’m sure the coupons will go fast, so bookmark the site and get on there first thing Monday morning! 🙂
I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Smucker’s Uncrustables and received a sample to facilitate my candid review. In addition, Mom Central sent me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.
