Souplantation and Sweet Tomatoes

September 16, 2009 by Mariana

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or Email Updates. Thanks for visiting!

Since so many of us are staying local these days, Souplantation is making it easy to feel like you’re on a culinary vacation even when you’re not! Every two weeks from now until the end of September, the restaurant will feature food from a different region. The current theme is Greece and moves on to Asia tomorrow! Expect delicious dishes like a Thai Udon Noodle & Peanut Salad, Indian Lentil Soup, Sweet & Sour Broccoli Slaw, and more! Another fun aspect of this month’s “themes” are special placemats for kids which correspond to each region and include coupons for discounts at local attractions and suggestions for “Staycations” right in your backyard!

Unfortunately there’s no location anywhere near me, but I thought some of you might be interested in this promotion!

A little bit of Souplantation’s history:

The very first Souplantation brought delicious, healthy dining to San Diego in March 1978… and now have 110 company-owned restaurants in 15 states. 265 million guests since 1978 have helped us to be #1 in fresh produce and salads, made-from-scratch soups, hot-tossed pastas, freshly baked breads and muffins, fresh fruit, frozen yogurt, and more. We pride ourselves on offering an all-you-care-to-eat dining experience where each of our guests can create a meal tailored to their needs. Of course, you can count on fresh, high-quality ingredients and daily made-from-scratch menu items. In order to enhance our brand and reflect our dedication to fresh, wholesome ingredients, we adopted the name Sweet Tomatoes for new restaurants outside Southern California.

And guess what? 5 lucky Riding With No Hands readers will each win a complimentary meal dining pass good at any restaurant location. To enter, please leave me a comment telling me which location is closest to you.

For extra entries:

  • Subscribe to my feed (or let me know if you already do).
  • Follow me on Twitter (@OhMariana) and tweet about this giveaway: I just entered to win a Souplantation meal pass from @ohMariana! https://bit.ly/44qmw9
  • Become a fan of Riding With No Hands on Facebook (or tell me if you are already!)

That’s not all! You can also participate in the “Where in the World Is Sweetie?” contest for a chance to win great prizes like Visa gift cards and additional dining passes just by following @souplantation on Twitter or joining their Facebook group.

On Wednesday, September 30th, Souplantation/Sweet Tomato restaurants will be setting up banana split ice cream bars as a treat for guests to say “thanks a million” for reaching 1 million members in the ClubVeg guest loyalty program!

If you sign up for ClubVeg, you’ll receive a monthly email filled with coupons and discounts totaling more than $75 worth of savings per year, as well as special restaurant news. This month, restaurants will be celebrating by giving away $14,000 in prizes including gift cards valued up to $100, coupons, t-shirts and more! The month-long promotion allows all ClubVeg members to pick weekly prizes from the Souplantation/Sweet Tomatoes online garden. More information about ClubVeg can be found at www.souplantation.com/clubveg.

Please leave a separate comment for each entry and leave a valid email address or blog URL in your comment. US entries only. This contest ends at 11:59 pm EST on September 23rd, 2009. Winners will be chosen at random, and have 3 days to claim their prize.
