Last Thursday morning, I woke my girls up ridiculously early, instructed them to get out of bed and get dressed. Then, a few minutes later, over Cheerios at the kitchen table, I told them something I’d known for several months – that we were going to Walt Disney World. I pulled out their new (and fully-packed!) suitcases, and we were off to the airport! It was awesome. This is video I shot that morning (badly edited, I admit).
In hindsight, I’d wish I’d told them the night before. The girls were both so sleepy in the morning that they weren’t as surprised as I expected. No squeals of happiness or anything! ๐ It wasn’t until we were at the airport that Maya gave me a huge hug and a ‘Thank you! You’re the best mom ever.” Walking into our resort a few hours later, I heard her mutter, “I can’t believe we’re actually here.” I’m not sure if it was directed towards me, or just her thinking aloud, but it made me happy.
While the five days we spent at Disney World flew by way too fast, we made so many wonderful memories… many of which I’ll be sharing here over the next several weeks!
Disclosure: I paid a fee to attend the Social Media Moms Celebration at Walt Disney World, but as an attendee I received complimentary items, special discounts, and other exciting benefits such as food and entertainment, so my family and I could experience the magic of Disney.

What lucky girls! If you had told them the night before they would have been miserable because they would have been too excited to sleep, so I think you did the right thing by waiting until morning ๐ My daughter was disappointed that we can’t go to Disney this year because I found out I’m pregnant and I refuse to waddle around in Florida. Too hot!!! Maybe next year…I hope you all had a wonderful time!
