There’s a “heat watch” in effect this entire weekend, with record high temperatures expected. Heat indices could approach 110 degrees! Definitely not typical weather for early June in the DC area. Just last week I was complaining about how it was too cool for the girls to play in the sprinkler, and now it may […]
Family
Niece, cousin… what’s it gonna be?
In Mexico, and perhaps most of Latin America, we call our cousins’ kids our nieces/nephews. All my life I’ve thought this was customary, I guess because I never really gave it much thought. After Googling this topic a few minutes ago, I discovered that I am wrong – only sibling offspring are considered nieces/nephews. My […]
NSO Family Concert

I’m surprised at how child-friendly the place is. Even maneuvering the stroller around the grounds wasn’t difficult using the wheelchair-accessible entrances. There’s a parking garage right underneath the cathedral […]
My dear baby…
You’re 9 months old today! It’s bittersweet, though, considering that you’re probably our last one. It’s unbelievable how much you’ve grown, how lovable you’ve become, and what a good baby you are. Instead of keeping track of your milestones, I try to avoid thinking about them; I know you’ll be walking and talking before I […]
