Talk to a doctor from the comfort of your home with Doctor on Demand

February 24, 2015 by Mariana

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or Email Updates. Thanks for visiting!

I participated in a Blog Blast Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Doctor On Demand.
I received a free trial coupon code to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.

doctorLet’s say you come down with a sinus infection. You know this because it’s happened before. You have a fever, your head aches, you’re congested… the last thing you want to do is drag yourself out of bed to go to the doctor! I tell you this from experience.

What if you could see a doctor from the comfort of your warm bed? You get a prescription for antibiotics and are feeling better in a few days. When you would benefit from a conversation with a doctor, but don’t actually need to step into his or her office, try Doctor On Demand!

iPhone-Medical

Doctor On Demand offers an new way to access high quality healthcare – instantly via your smartphone, tablet, or from desktop computer. It’s like a virtual house call! You simply download the Doctor On Demand app on your mobile device, or visit www.doctorondemand.com on your computer, provide a list of your symptoms, and you are instantly connected to a provider trained in the U.S. and licensed in your state for a video visit. You can talk to a doctor about a variety of conditions, such as the cold and flu, measles, sore throat, allergies, skin issues, UTIs, eye conditions, and sports injuries.

For medical and pediatric visits such as these, a flat rate of $40 per visit applies, with no other hidden fees. No insurance is needed, and physicians are even able to prescribe medications following a diagnosis! Being a busy mom of two, there simply isn’t time to see the doctor for something that’s not very serious, so this service is very practical. It doesn’t set me back any more than my copay amount at the doctor’s office would be, yet I’ll save SO much time!

Doctor On Demand also offers Video Visits with doctorate-level psychologists so that you can talk about your emotional issues without leaving home. Therapy visits are competitively-priced – only $50 for a 25-minute session and $95 for a 50-minute session, which is about half the national average.

Right now, Doctor On Demand is offering your first visit FREE, a value of $50. This will cover the cost of either one Medical Video Visit or one Psychologist Video Visit. Use coupon code: DOMESTIC15 when registering to take advantage of this FREE first visit offer. You can use it immediately, or store it in your account and use it at a later date. I can’t wait to try this service for myself!

Enjoy your FREE trial of Doctor On Demand!

I think this is brilliant. The last thing I want to do when I feel miserable with a cold is pack up myself and the kids and drag us all to the doctor’s office!

I love this idea. I think I’m coming down with a sinus infection again. It happens frequently for me. The price is right too.

That’s an excellent idea to have access to a doctor at your fingertips. Beats having to wait for hours in a doctor’s clinic to see the doctor.
