The Cat-in-the-Hat-a-thon!

Tomorrow is Dr. Seuss’s birthday! How will you be celebrating it? We’ll be watching The Cat-in-the-Hat-a-thon – a two-hour marathon of PBS KIDS’ popular series THE CAT IN THE HAT KNOWS A LOT ABOUT THAT! – which airs tomorrow on PBS KIDS. The show has ranked among the top ten programs for children ages 2 to 5 since it premiered back in September of 2010, and my kids love it! They also love celebrating Dr. Seuss’s birthday, so we’ll be baking a cake to enjoy during our Cat-in-the-Hat-a-thon. I may even dig out the party hats from last year’s celebration! 😉

Voiced by award-winning actor Martin Short, Dr. Seuss’s The Cat in the Hat guides friends Sally and Nick – with a little help from the Fish, Thing 1 and Thing 2 – on fun-filled adventures where they make natural-science discoveries, from how bees make honey to why owls sleep during the day. During The Cat-in-the-Hat-a-thon, kids and parents can enjoy a block of episodes from this science-focused series, including two BRAND NEW episodes. Families can continue the celebration online and on their mobile devices as video clips from all four episodes featured will be available for free online at PBSKIDS.org/video and on the PBS KIDS Video App for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.
