The fast-food restaurant we frequent the most is Wendy’s. Not only is it less than a mile from our house, but I find the quality of the food to be superior to that of its competitors. There are some days – you know, those days – that I just don’t feel like cooking, and Wendy’s makes it easy and affordable to take a day off. Their burgers are my favorite, but sometimes I’ll try something new.
This was the case last week, when I had Wendy’s new boneless chicken wings for lunch one day. Made with 100% whole chicken breast, the boneless chicken wings get hand tossed in one of three flavors: Bold Buffalo, Honey BBQ, or Sweet & Spicy Asian Chicken.
I ordered the Bold Buffalo, and went ahead and made it a combo. It’s nice to see a product that actually looks like it does in the ads!
I was honestly expecting Wendy’s chicken nuggets covered in wing sauce, but these boneless buffalo wings are SO much better! The chicken is tender and juicy. I got 8 pieces in my order. The pieces aren’t uniform in size, so I can only imagine they figure out the quantity by weight. I thought that maybe they went a little overboard with the sauce, but some people may actually like that. I didn’t find it to be terribly spicy, and would’ve appreciated a dipping sauce, preferably bleu cheese, but none was offered. Next time I’ll be sure to ask.
What do they cost? Around $4 for just the wings, and $6 for a combo, which included fries and a drink. Next time I’d probably substitute a side salad and have a killer buffalo chicken salad! I’d also like to try the other two varieties. It’s a nice change from my usual burger and fries.
I wrote this review while participating in a blog and giveaway campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Wendy’s and received a sample to facilitate my candid review. In addition, Mom Central sent me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.

I knew I should have went to Wendy’s instead of KFC on Sunday. This looks really good. I probably would have thought the same as you with the nuggets. By the picture it looks fantastic. Your right it would make an awesome salad.
