I’m such a scatter-train. I forgot to tell you about my affiliation with Chuggington! You know… the animated TV series that airs on Playhouse Disney weekday mornings at 10:30am/9:30c. 😉
My daughters have been watching Chuggington since the first episode premiered in the U.S. back in January, so when I was asked to be a Chuggington Conductor, I said yes in two clickety clacks!
As a conductor, I’ll be one of the first to hear about upcoming Chuggington products, receive sneak peeks at new episodes, exclusive news, and more… and will share that with you, of course!
Tomorrow, 11 little chuggers will be joining us for a special screening of a never-before-seen-in-the-U.S. episode of Chuggington. We’ll also play a few games, have some snacks, and run around outside. Chuggers need their exercise! Later this week, I’ll let you know how the party goes, and share some ideas on how to throw a Chuggington birthday party for your kids.
Speaking of trains, did you know National Train Day is coming up this weekend?
Amtrak will be celebrating America’s love for rail travel with big events planned in Washington, DC, Philadelphia, Chicago, and Los Angeles, as well as other cities all across the country. Each event will feature live music, interactive and educational exhibits, kid‘s entertainment, food demonstrations, model train displays, and tours of notable private railroad cars, Amtrak equipment, freight, and commuter trains. Doesn’t that just sound traintastic?! If you have big train fan at home, as I do, this event is not to be missed! I’ll be attending the National Train Day event in D.C. on May 8th, which goes from 11am to 4pm.
Visit www.nationaltrainday.com for more information and to find a National Train Day event near you! You can also connect on Twitter: @NatlTrainDay or Facebook: facebook.com/nationaltrainday.
I have to go back to baking cupcakes and cutting up fruit for tomorrow’s party, but I’ll leave you with a short video of Maura, my toddler, singing the Chuggington theme song. I could listen to her sing all day! If you’ve never watched Chuggington, tune in to Playhouse Disney weekdays at 10:30am EST. Maya, my 5-year-old, just informed me that you can also watch a couple of full episodes online! Honk your horns!
