My morning routine is always a little hectic. I’m lucky if I even have time to brush my hair and apply a dab of lip gloss before walking my daughter to the bus stop (which is right in front of my house, I might add). This Wisk experiment allowed me to give myself a little bit of ‘me-time’… and featured a sexy oil stain. One that you wouldn’t want to see on your husband’s shirt collar. Ever. 😉
Oil stains come in all shapes and sizes, though – peanut butter, salad dressing – and are some of the toughest stains to get out. To complete this experiment, I received a fabulous package from Wisk that included a hand towel, compact mirror, toiletry bag, lip gloss and a new bottle of Wisk Stain Spectrum laundry detergent.
The Experiment
- I used the compact mirror to delicately apply the beautiful lip gloss.
- I put on a little too much, so I puckered up and blotted the excess with the towel.
- I pre-treated the stain with Wisk, covering the entire kiss mark.
- I scrubbed the stain for about 30 seconds, creating lovely bubbles.
- I rinsed the stain under warm water until all the suds washed away.
The Result
Ta-dah! Kiss mark gone.
As I write my last post for Wisk, I’m truly sad to see this project come to a close! It’s been a lot of fun. You know when my daughter runs to grab the bottle of Wisk after spilling chocolate milk down the front of her shirt, that these little experiments have made a BIG impact. She calls it “Skwisk” – it’s pretty cute! Be sure to go back and read about the protein stain and carb stain labs… if tackling stains is a challenge for you, hopefully this series of posts has inspired you to keep fighting ’em!
