When my family comes over to visit, I have to walk them through how to turn on the TV and sound system every time. I’ve even gone so far as typing up the instructions and printing it out, but sometimes that’s not even enough. We have that many remotes! I’m sure you can relate – there’s one for the TV itself, another for the digital cable, a third for the DVD player, and a fourth one for the stereo system. There’s also a VHS, but that remote was lost long ago.
People who are intimidated by large remotes with lots of fancy bells and whistles will like the Yamaha neoHD. In addition to the requisite power, volume, channel and mute buttons, it has just a few other options plus a cursor for making selections via the on-screen interface. Simply select Watch, Listen or Play using the cursor, and you are all set! I haven’t actually tried it out myself, but it seems very user-friendly.
