Christmas Photos

I finished putting away all the Christmas decor over the weekend, and realized I haven’t posted any photos from Christmas morning. Yes, I know… so last year! šŸ˜‰

This is what Santa brought for the girls:
Santa came for a visit

The girls ADORED their Rose Petal Cottage.

I honestly had no idea what to get them, but a few weeks before Christmas a great deal popped up on Amazon for the Rose Petal Cottage, and I just couldn’t help myself! My sis also ordered some accessories to help furnish the house, and it ended up being absolutely perfect. I love that it’s something that they can play with together, although Maya does tend to kick her baby sister out every once in a while when she wants to take a “nap” in her house.

so happy!

YUM!

Unwrapping the presents is the best part! Check out her little toes!

check out her little toes!

I love Melissa & Doug puzzles. This one is especially nice because the pieces are chunky, so baby can stand the animals up for pretend play.

look what I got!

Maya wasn’t too happy when she saw this box, after tearing the wrapping off.
She said, “Mommy, this isn’t from Santa, it’s from the delivery guy!”

this isn't from Santa! It's from the delivery guy

Oops, she caught me! I explained to her that just like we recycle boxes and plastic bottles, Santa does too, so not as much ends up in the trash. She wasn’t quite satisfied with my answer, but forgot about it once she saw what was in the box!

A sparkly Cinderella gown!

Remember the Hello Kitty from Build-A-Bear?
It seems that Maura has officially adopted her!
She smiles every time she looks at her Kitty.

All Maya asked Santa for was a Lazytown CD and a candy cane. The Rose Petal cottage was a complete surprise!

The candy cane was easy, obviously, but the Lazytown CD was a little hard to come by, so I had to improvise. I had hubby download all the songs. Then I burned them to a CD which I drew the Lazytown logo on with permanent markers. To finish it off, I printed out the CD cover and also colored that. She was ecstatic when she opened it!

(And she’s been listening to it everyday since!)

So precious!! That’s too funny about the delivery guy. I thought that was a good explanation! And you did a great job coloring in that CD cover. šŸ™‚

Those photos are just perfect. It looks like a wonderful Christmas morning.
