Last night, as I was watching perhaps one of the worst made-for-TV movies so far this year – Impact – it hit me… there are exactly 30 days until BlogHer!
Okay, so now it’s 29. Maybe I should start freaking out a little bit.
Why?
I feel like I’ve lost a little of my blogging moxie.
Maybe it’s just taking a little vacation with my friend Jill’s mojo and everything will go back to normal soon. Hopefully. But as much as I’d like to say I love writing, it all feels very forced right now.
Formatting each post just so, inserting links, editing and adding photos or video, posting giveaways to contest sites… I’m not sure if people realize just how time-consuming blogging can be…
My friend Tiffany from Lattes & Life said it perfectly earlier today on Twitter:
But she has a newborn baby, so she has an excuse. Me, on the other hand – I’m just a mess.
I need someone to tell me how to play with my kids, do laundry, make dinner, spend time with my husband, maintain my blog, and everything in between. Because I just can’t seem to figure it out. I do one, and something else suffers.
Maybe I’m a little depressed. Other people’s unfortunate circumstances get me down. Father’s Day gets me down. No, no… NO. It’s not a good time for this.
Someone needs to grab me by the shoulders and give me a good shake or just plain hit me upside the head and tell me to SNAP OUT OF IT.
There are so many amazing things in store these next few weeks… that I really need to get my act together. Like, soon.
Shame on James Cromwell for taking part in another disaster movie. And shame on me for watching every last minute of it when I could’ve been doing other things…
Expect a bunch of posts within the next few days as I’m trying to play catch-up.

Ugh, don’t I know it. One thing I think I’m going to start doing is lining up my “have to” posts on the weekends. I’ll write my reviews and giveaways on the weekends and schedule them for the week ahead. That will free up a BUNCH of time during the week. It will also allow me to focus on personal blog posts during the week, and not get bogged down with what I *should* be blogging.

But you are running a very good blog! Sometimes we feel just feed up with stuff especially when we are out of the mood so take a little pause and be back.
I think all of us blog not to please the reader as much as to express ourselves whether it’s just blogging or money-making blog. Anyway we are humans so keep it up.
We missed your Wednessday Posts so wish you, the girls and the whole family are OK 🙂

Hey, I kinda liked that movie – but I watch TV to escape… nothing too deep or hard to follow, because I usually do some of my blogging with the TV on so if I miss some of the silly stuff, it’s no big deal. There are some shows I will NOT blog through – but those are done for the summer.
I think you are doing a fantastic job on your blog, so don’t you worry about your moxie, its not lost, maybe just taking a nap…. and we are all here reading and pulling for you.
Enjoy your summer!!
