We celebrate by making green eggs and ham, reading our entire Dr. Seuss library, watching The Cat in the Hat, and playing some games. What about you? Did you do anything special today? This year is extra special because Maura (my Kindergartner) can now read a few Dr. Seuss books herself. Hop on Pop is her current fave!
PBS KIDS is celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday weekend with new episodes of The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That and a new online game that just launched, Swirly Whirly Pearl Hunt, where players can catch a ride on the Thinga-ma-jigger to travel deeper and deeper through the Swirly Whirly Ocean, meeting silly, Seussian schools of fish along the way. You can even create your own sea creature!
Check local listings for The Cat in the Hat air dates and times. You can also watch video clips from the show free online at pbskids.org/video and on the PBS KIDS Video App.

Dr. Seuss is such a classic favorite! I remember loving his books when I was little and now my kids pick them out first too!
