Presto Printing Mailbox – an update

January 26, 2009 by Mariana

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or Email Updates. Thanks for visiting!

I miss my family back in Texas. It’s hard living over a thousand miles away from them! Fortunately it’s become a little easier over the past few weeks thanks to the Presto Printing Mailbox. Designed by HP, the Presto Printing Mailbox allows you to send email to people that don’t use a computer. It’s so easy to setup and use, and although there is a fee for the Presto Mail service, the value of this service far exceeds the monthly fee. My grandparents’ family and friends all over the world can send them unlimited email and photos, and the joy that stems from that is priceless!

how Presto works

As I look out the window at the falling snow, I’m thinking of the beautiful photos I’ll be sending their way after we have a chance to play outside later. My grandma will get to see photos of my toddler’s first romp in the snow right after it happens. Isn’t that amazing? She (my grandma) just started chemotherapy last week, and the frequent emails have really lifted her spirits.

I’m so thrilled that the generous people at Presto want to make communicating with your loved ones a little easier for one of my readers! Please go back and read about my first impressions of the Presto Printing Mailbox, visit Presto.com, and leave me a comment on this post telling me who you would give this to and what feature you like best.

The winner will receive a Presto Printing Mailbox and 2 months of free service, a $180 value!

Please note that the Mailbox will only work in the U.S. because it has to be hooked up to a U.S. phone line. If you live outside of the United States but have family here, you can enter as long as it is shipped to a U.S. address.

Very clear instructions are included, and there is toll-free support available in case you aren’t around to set up the Mailbox for your family members. If you don’t win but would like to purchase a Presto Printing Mailbox, it’s available for approximately $149.99 online at Presto.com or at a variety of online retailers. It’s even being sold in some stores now. The Presto Mail Service costs between $12.50-$14.99 a month. Good luck!

US entries only. Please leave a valid email address or blog URL in your comment. This contests ends at 11:59 pm EST on February 4th, 2009. Winner will be chosen at random, and has 48 hours to claim their prize.

I would give this to my mother in law and what I like best is that it looks like we could teach her to use it so much easier than a computer and I can send her updates on our 4 kids.

I’d send HP’s Presto Printing Mailbox to my oldest sister. She just can’t get the hang of the computer, and doesn’t have the patience to continue with it. Then she misses out on all the great family photos, poems, invitations, witticisms, that the rest of us share daily.

Was HP thinking of my sister when they invented it?

Wow I love this product and the idea of it sooooo much. I would choose to give this to an old friend of mine that I lost contact with for several years after her son (my boyfriend at the time) died. We recently got back in contact I found her through an online search and I would love nothing more than to be able to keep in contact with her through the internet, but she doesn’t have internet access. She had recently had several health issues due to having severe osteoporosis and is confined to a wheelchair. This would be a great help in communicating with her. Anyway I love that it only requires a phone line and plug in to work amongst many other great features.

I would give this to my mom because she doesn’t have a computer and is kind of scared to get one… technology like the internet is intimidating to her, and I like the fact that this machine uses something as simple as a home telephone line in order to keep her connected to friends and family all over the world. This is a really neat item!

Wow, that is very cool! I had no idea a product like this existed.
I would give this to my dad because his computer is about 13 years old and still has dial up so it takes forever to download pictures I send. This may be a good alternative.
    Thanks!
