Frying Pan Farm Park

April 26, 2009 by Mariana

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or Email Updates. Thanks for visiting!

Frying Pan Farm Park is a working demonstration farm in Fairfax County, close to Herndon.

A suburban cowgirl’s dream!
.

Among the attractions are:
tractors to ride on
..

Lots of animals, including cows…
.

and their babies
.

turkeys
.

peacocks
.

goats
.

sheep
.

and we even saw a llama!
.

Open daily from dawn until dusk, admission is free to Frying Pan Farm Park, but wagon rides are $3. If it were just a little bit closer to home I’m sure we’d visit more often. I’d love to take advantage of the summer camp they offer for preschoolers, but it’s a bit of a trek to make for 5 days straight.

Okay, this is a fun meme, it looks like. Do you do this weekly? I’m a little tardy for this week, but how fun! (p.s, that’s also my comment on the other post, I just entered a diff blog in the website field)

Hi Sheila! Sightseeing Sunday IS weekly! I’ve only been doing it for a few weeks, so I don’t have many participants, but I’d love for you to participate! You can dig through your past posts, or write up something new. It’s up to you!

My 2-year-old would love that place. Actually, she just enjoys going places. Period. For example, she gets SOOOO excited when we have to make a quick run to Walgreens. Maybe we should get out more… 😉
